What is Body wraps?

Body wraps are specific therapeutic treatments that envelope the whole body in various types of linen, heat retaining foils, bandages or blankets. A body mask is first applied to the body before wrapping the body with warm linens. After the warm linens help the skin soak the goodness of the body mask it is rinsed off. This method is also popularly known as body cocoon.

Body wraps put to use various body masks made of algae, seaweed, mud, clay, lotion or cream, depending on the treatment. The treatments are done for a variety of reasons some of which are:

How is a body wrap conducted?

·Usually the body wrap begins with exfoliation .This can be done by dry brushing or a salt scrub.
·The mask, lotion or cream is applied all over the body with smooth strokes .A massage therapist can put to use strokes and pressures for therapeutic results.
·The body is then wrapped in hot or warm towels, sheets or linens of your choice for about 20 minutes
·After which the linen is unwrapped and the body mask has to be removed. Commercially body wraps often take place in wet rooms, equipped with a shower, wet table, or Vichy shower.
·After the body is dry, it is pampered with generous application of lotion or cream to moisturize the skin.

·Aloe Linen Wrap
Aloe Vera wrap is ideal for over-exposure to the sun and for those desiring extra plumpness and suppleness to underlying skin tissue. The masque infused with green tea and rich in anti-oxidants promise to soothe and harmonize the skin.

·Herbal Linen Wrap
A treatment in which herbal infused, warmed and moist linens are wrapped snugly around the body, followed by plastic sheets, then blankets in order to promote circulation, stress relief and aid in detoxification. Generally, a head, neck and face massage accompany this treatment, which lasts on average between 30 and 45 minutes. It is also a classic spa and it may be bundled with a pressure point facial massage.

·Aromatherapy Wrap
An Aromatic Oil of personal choice is applied prior to a warm linen wrap from neck to toe. The heat and oils work together to relax and moisturize.

·Detoxifying Mud Wrap

This rejuvenating body wrap incorporates a combination of steps to allow the body to soak in all nourishment that grape seed extract has for treating the skin. The body is wrapped in a grape seed and French clay mixture followed by a warm linen sheet wrap. This is followed by a hydrotherapy bath and a skin moisturizing session.

·Eucalyptus Steam Wrap
